My Obsession Monday: Fluffy Warm Jacket

Oct 2018 - MyObsessionMonday - Fluffy Jacket Cover copy.jpg

I’m back and I know it’s been a while. I’m sorry for being MIA – I’ll fill you in on a separate post about what I’ve been up to. It’s a passion project, just like this blog!

How is it fall already?! I had to quickly switch from light, flowy summer dresses to cozy, thick fall sweaters to adapt to the chilly weather. Fall is one of my favourite seasons so this transition is good but winter, on the other hand, will be a different story.

Just picked up this new fluffy jacket from Uniqlo and I just love mixing new obsessions with old favourites. I’ve been keeping an eye on these fluffy jackets since last year but I’m glad I waited for this one. The fit is great, it’s snug so it keeps you warm and I can wear it on its own or layer it within loose fall jackets. They also come in a range of colours – 12 to be exact! Not surprising though, I went for the black because…well, it’s black! It will be easy to incorporate with other items that I already own and you can never go wrong with a neutral.

It might seem a little early to think about Christmas presents, but this little number would make a great present! It’s honestly so warm and so comfortable.

Zara Check Dress

Sept 2017 - 2 Looks Zara Check Dress - Cover.jpg

Zara has been clearing out their summer pieces over the last little while and I must say, they honestly have the best sales! Usually, when the sale starts, the sizes are all available but it quickly gets picked up by those who keep an eye out for their seasonal sales and the sizes run low as you are going through the pages online! So if you see something you like, don’t even think twice and pick them up first, you can always return them later. That’s another thing I like about Zara, their return policy and even their mobile app are both so seamless.

As I was returning a couple things back at the store, I didn’t have the intention to shop some more at the time but I saw this loose flounce dress sticking out of the mangled clothes racks (as expected during their sale season). I took a quick glimpse at the price tag and saw that it was less than $20 so I couldn’t resist! This is also perfect for the cooler weather that is right around the corner. I can wear this with tall boots! I really like these types of short, loose flounce dress. It looks great with all different types of shoes and it’s also super flattering. See how I styled it below in two different ways that are great for a day to night look.

My Obsession Monday: Bomber Jacket

Zara Bomber Jacket - 1.jpg

Hi Lovelies!

It’s been a while since I’ve had the chance to put some time into My Blanc Canvas and I’ve really missed it! On the flip side, I’ve been good (saving some $$) and haven’t shopped very much. The weather has also been suprisingly warm for mid-October in Toronto, so it hasn’t put the pressure/encouragement on for scouting out fall staples.

This is my first bomber jacket and I’m loving it!

My Birthday Lookbook: 3 outfits

Hey everyone!

This past month was so hectic with a bunch of exciting freelancing gigs and WMCFW (stay tuned for WMCFW blog post!) but the best of it all were the birthday celebrations I had with friends and family. Can’t believe another year has gone by – so much happened within this year and I truly feel blessed (+ another year wiser)! Birthdays are usually a reason for me to dress up, spend time with loved ones while giving me the excuse to feast out (and I mean FEAST OUT)! I went to a few restaurants around Toronto that I’ve been meaning to try and they were all SO delicious (I eat out so often that I’m starting to think that I should making videos of all the restaurants I go to). I’ll most likely highlight my experience at all these restaurants I tried for my birthday in a separate blog post…stay tuned! These 3 looks were my favourite outfits that I wore throughout my birthday month celebration and I want to share them with you!

3 Ways to Style: Zara Denim Dress

Hey guys!

I’m sure you all feel the temperature dropping and it’s especially noticeable after Labour Day long weekend! I must admit though, I love fall fashion even though it means that winter is THAT much closer. Winter is a different story but fall fashion is so much fun because you can layer, layer and layer some more! I picked up this Zara denim dress a few weeks ago and it’s such a great layering piece to transition into the fall season. I’ve styled it in 3 different looks that can be dressed down or up! Which look would you rock?

Ever New Launch party!

Hi lovelies!

I got invited to the Ever New launch party at the Toronto Eaton Centre two weeks ago and I had a blast! It’s an Australian brand from Melbourne, Australia, and this is their first location in Toronto. They don’t have a website yet but check out their Facebook page (Ever New), Instagram account (@evernewca – they featured my cupcake photo!) or their store at the TEC to see all their latest pieces. Scroll through the photos below to get a glimpse of my night at the party.

Thanks for having me, Ever New!
